Peter Difilippantonio is a results-oriented sales and service professional with expertise in the areas of General, Sales, and Service management and a long record of success in creating business strategies, building effective teams to execute those strategies, and generating positive results for his employer. He excels in servicing and retaining customers in a B2B environment and enabling others to do so.
As a founding member of his prior employer, Jobing.com, Peter has built a company from near-zero, through start-up into an Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Company in America for 3 consecutive years – one of only 14 companies in the U.S. to do so at the time. A recognized expert in employment and the use of technology and social networking in the space, Peter is regularly featured on local news programs and industry-wide panels to support economic and employment-related discussions.
Peter joined Jobing.com in July, 2000 as one of the company’s first employees. He began his career as an Inside Sales Representative in the Phoenix, Arizona market and moved into the position of Inside Sales Manager in 2003, assisting in the recruitment, training and retention of the Phoenix sales team.
As the company continued to grow, Peter established the company's first Client Services department and developed the processes for client service being used today. In 2004, Peter relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to assist in the launch of the South Florida market where he helped to lay the Jobing.com sales and service foundation for the integration of a local site acquisition. In 2005 he returned to the Phoenix office and served as the Director of Sales Training, where he was responsible for the training and development of hundreds of Jobing.com sales and service team members through a rapid expansion.
Peter then moved on to serve as Jobing.com's Vice President of Client Services, installing and managing customer service teams in each of the company's local markets and continued to forge new paths in great client service and retention. Working with each local market’s General Managers, he improved team performance that led to increased contract renewals and revenue backlog.
In late 2007, Peter was asked to relocate to Houston, TX and promoted to Vice President & General Manager of the Houston market. He served in this capacity, building and developing a local sales, service, and community team that enables thousands of local employers and job seekers to connect with one another.
Peter is a 6-year veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Nuclear Mechanical Operator (Machinist’s Mate) and as a member of the Reactor Training Team. He is an avid SCUBA diver and has taken the plunge all over the World. Peter earned his Bachelor's Degree in Management from Ottawa University and has attended executive education programs at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received certifications in Effective Sales Management from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
